Social Hideout in North Parramatta
Give this article a thumbs up if you like it ;-)
Parramatta is known as Sydney second CBD with lots of high rises, both commercials and residential. As there are increasing needs to feed the office crowds during the weekday and the cafe hoppers on the weekend, Parramatta has transformed into food district with lots of cafes and restaurants.
From garden-themed cafes, burger joints and yumcha to one of the top 10 buffet place in Sydney.
Last Easter, precisely on the Good Friday, we were hunting for food and thankfully "Social Hideout" in Parramatta was opened during the Easter long weekend. At first, we were impressed with the deco of this garden cafe.
Next, we were welcomed by the friendly waitress, with the menu. We were quite impressed with the menu but was not sure what to order. So what did we do? Hop on to their Instagram account #socialhideout to check out the photos of their foods and see which were the most appealing to us. We then ordered the "Taro Hotcakes".
Then bang! Here comes the waitress with our hotcakes. So here is my verdict.
Instagram worthy? ✔️
Taste? Cakes were moist.
Price? $$$ a bit pricey although it is standard for the cafes in Sydney these days. This plate of hotcakes cost us $17.90.
Ambiance? Good. But will be warm for a hot summer day if you are seated outside.
Overall was a good experience and staffs were friendly.
