If you are going to travel to Sydney Australia and about to visit Sydney Chinatown as part of your traveling plan, do not forget to stop and dine in at the SuperBowl Chinese Restaurant to eat their famous and delicious porridge. I would say the porridge can be considered as one of the best porridge you can find in Sydney city. The taste of the porridge is really good.
How about the price? Well, I would say the price is standard. Most of the meals in the Sydney city is pretty pricey, the cheapest you may able to find is around $10ish. The range price for the porridge is about $11 to $13 dollars. It depends on the type of meat you choose. The porridge comes with different menu types such as pork, fish, pork liver, century egg and much more. The portion of the porridge is quite large and should be enough for 2 people. If you do not eat much it should be enough for 3 people. The porridge itself has already a bit salty, there is no need to add extra soya sauce.
Remember to order Cakwe as well to serve with your porridge. Those two dishes are usually eaten together. In the Chinese language, Ca Kwe is called Youtiao. It also knows as Chinese fried churros. Well, you can say Cakwe as fried Chinese breadstick. It comes in a pair and the method of cooking of this cakwe is deep fried until golden brown. The price for cakwe is $3 per pair stick and when served it will be cut into smaller size. You definitely have to order this cakwe as they are crisp and taste really nice. Do not miss it, especially for you that never taste cakwe before. They are freshly fried when you order.
If this is your first-time travel to Sydney Australia, the Sydney Chinatown can be accessed easily by two closed train stations which are Townhall or Central stations. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes walk from both train stations. The Chinatown is a pretty small area, there are heaps of Asian shops and Chinese restaurants around. So spend more time in there and do not forget to take some pictures and share your experiences in here.
